"Right to Life of Central California Condemns the Killing of Pro-Life Activist"

FRESNO, CA – Right to Life of Central California (RLCC), one of the largest pro-life organizations west of the Mississippi, today condemned the killing of peaceful pro-life activist Jim Pouillon. The following statement may be attributed to RLCC Public Relations Director, Josh Brahm:

Right to Life of Central California wishes to express its sincere and heartfelt sympathies to Jim Pouillon’s family over this senseless act of violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this tragic time.

Further, Right to Life of Central California unequivocally condemns any such acts of violence regardless of motivation. We are greatly saddened and disturbed by the murder of this peaceful activist, shot and killed outside of a high school in front of horrified teenagers. We call on all people of good will regardless of their views on abortion to condemn this senseless murder.

If, as many have speculated, Pouillon was killed because of his views on abortion, I wonder if President Obama will issue a statement on this as he did when abortion doctor George Tiller was murdered. The pro-life community hopes so and waits to see what he does.

RLCC has always been involved in peaceful, legal activities to protect human lives threatened by abortion, infanticide and euthanasia. RLCC will continue to work through educational activities to ensure the right to life for unborn children, people with disabilities and the infirm and elderly.
